WE HAVE RELOCATED TO NORTHERN SWEDEN AS OF SEPTEMBER 2023

HOW IT ALL STARTED.

I, Kajsa, immigrated from Sweden to the U.S in 2011 and wanted a canine companion while waiting for all the proper work documents to be finalized in order for me to start my life here.

I found Chisum, the first Ridgeback I’ve ever known, at the local Missoula Animal Control Shelter.
What I thought was a pleasant coincidence, of finding such a beautiful and loving creature, turned into a few years of dealing with a powerful and sensitive dog who did not have the upbringing he needed. Despite my great ambition to “turn things around”, Chisum tested every single one of my abilities to “rehabilitate” a dog who was not food motivated, with no sense of learned self control, and a prey-drive not ever re-directed or controlled in a healthy manner.
Despite our many trying moments, Chisum eventually calmed down, started to listen to our guidance, and showed us the wonderfully special dog he was. One look in his eyes was all it eventually took, and I know many people who would agree and who will always remember him.

Until I’m too old to care for a Ridgeback puppy, I hope that I at least get the chance to grow old with one. They are, and will always be, our choice of family dog. Once you have experienced it yourself, you’ll know why.

Our small breeding program primarily exists in order for us to continuously share our lives with the most amazing dogs possible. Through selective breeding, we do our outmost to only bring out the best in the breed in order to preserve the health, loyalty and dignity that the Rhodesian Ridgeback is known for. Since we would, but can’t, keep all of the puppies, we will on occasion have a litter up for consideration to appropriate family or show homes.

Thank you.

Sincerely, Kajsa Wallin
